Sync Clap
Record. Clap. Sync.
Beta limitation
SyncClap is not supported on iPhone or iPad during the beta
SyncClap processes video and audio files locally in your browser. On iPhone and iPad, all browsers use Apple WebKit, including Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. This can cause problems with file selection, memory limits, local video processing, and export reliability.
For best results, please use SyncClap on a desktop or laptop browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Android Chrome may also work, depending on file size.
Technical details
- All iOS and iPadOS browsers use Apple WebKit, even when labelled Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- FFmpeg.wasm video processing is memory-intensive and long-running.
- Some local audio files may be unavailable or greyed out in the iPad file picker.
- This is a platform/browser limitation, not a problem with your file.
Sync Clap matches the waveform patterns in the video's scratch audio and the external audio. A clear clap still helps create a strong waveform spike, but the app does not rely on clap detection. Very large files may be slow because everything runs locally in your browser.
Demo exports create a 60-second synced preview. Full clean export is available in owner mode.
